INSPIRATION: Soft Cell's 1981 new wave/soft punk anthem "Tainted Love" set the background for John Galliano's Maison Margiela gender-blending show, featuring looks challenging people's perceptions of what's male, what's female, what's stylish, what's fashion...gender fluidity, freedom of expression..breaking rules.



SEEN ON THE RUNWAY: Tailoring techniques, basting stitches, cut-outs, lapel stitches, capes, super-skinny pants, gender-flux style, draped bodices.
